I tried to power it up, but no apple logo showed. About 2 min later I pressed the home button and to my surprise siri worked. With a flashlight I noticed the display was working (very dim light) and I could open apps, slide to unlock, etc....
Chosen Solution My LCD screen is black or does not turn on. What’s happening? There is an LCD toggle button that can manually turn off the display; it might be manually powered off. Remove the Lens Cap. Push the LCD toggle button to change the display. Press any button to restore the LCD from power off. Chosen Solution I have an LG front load, less than 2 years old, runs through diagnostics fine—does all commands but in normal use it overfills with water and leaks. We’ve replaced the water inlet valves (hot and cold) and the pressure switch. No change, still over fills and leaks. Also it seems to get “stuck” like for the express wash that is supposed to take 15 minutes it will fill and spin for 10 minutes before counting down from 15....
Chosen Solution My HP 840 P elitebook won’t open oh, that is stuck shut. I use it almost every day and today for some reason it will not open. I do have it facing me the correct way to open. Lol. ( Read online sugestion ) Somehow a latch must have been engaged to lock shut. It sounds like the hinges are stiff from how you described it. You will need to get the laptop open to replace the hinges, unless they can be adjusted....

Chosen Solution Will i get more storage if I swap logic boards ? The memory on the iPhone is soldered to the logic board and cannot be swapped without a programmer. The 5s has three memory sizes 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The iPhone 5s logic board can be put into any 5s housing. So yes you can swap logic boards but make sure it has more memory than the one in it....
Chosen Solution I have a Nexus 5x that won’t charge because of water damage. I opened it up and it looks like there might be damage on the quick charge circuit but I don’t know what to test for. I need some schematics to see what parts are supposed to be capacitors and what parts are filters or resistors. I have tested the battery connectors on the motherboard and I don’t have any voltage there....

Recently i’ve swapped out the logic board which seemed to work fine, I reset SMC and NVRAM to bring it back to speed (it had slowed considerably after the swap, but a reset of the NVRAM fixed this issue) but now have run into a problem I don’t know how to take any further: with the swap the serial number as well as the mac address have changed, but the problem is that in my home network I cannot connect to the wifi any longer....

I’ve got a MacBook which boots and works fine about 1 in 30 times I try to power it on, and the other 29 it makes bootup noises (but no chime), the optical drive revs up, the power light stays on, but nothing else happens. When it works occasionally, it works 100%, and stays on pretty much till I power off. The original owner was told by Apple that it’s a GPU problem....

Chosen Solution The blender does not turn on easily. Then when the blender is removed the motor keeps running. rosalie, If blender under warranty return for replacement,repair/refund. It sounds like the bullet has an internal switch issue. Below I will post a link to show how to dissemble the blender so you can clean/check/replace switch if need be. If not wanting to work on the blender yourself take into a good local small electronics repair shop and have them take a look and estimate repair....

Chosen Solution Is building macbook myself cheaper, than buying from apple? Another good option is a used one with cosmetic challenges, but is perfectly functional otherwise. If you can find one with cosmetics you can live with and the price matches the actual damage (everyone has a different tolerance here), you can generally get these at a descent discount. I got a 2011 13” MBP through this method and it was better then I expected it to be relative to what I paid....

Now, I do want to upgrade it to an SSD but unfortunately, Apple no longer supports my model when it comes to Mac OS Mojave(and consequently the future updates). So is it feasible to upgrade to the SSD since I’ll no longer be able to update my mac(or will I, please help)? I haven’t tried anything yet because I don’t wanna buy an SSD and get stuck with the same software till it becomes ancient lol....

Chosen Solution I wanted to change the color of the screen on my iphone 5 and was wondering if I was going to have to buy one one the $150 assembly’s or if I could just buy the colored glass On iPhone 5 the digitizer is part of the LCD Display. So in theory you could with much difficulty, heat and expertise swap the front glass. But, this is reality, so you will have to get the entire front assembly as a one piece part....

Chosen Solution I’ve reviewed the guide on this fix and have not found any reference to the “Thermal Paste” mentioned in the Required Tools section. Is this needed to perform the repair? From what I can tell, the repair is just a matter of disassembling the case swapping the board and then putting it all back together. Thanks! it is best practice to replace the old paste with new…the old paste has been on there since day 1, subjected to temps for prolonged periods....
