Chosen Solution I have iphone 8 plus died. The user said it was died when playing games then i try to check to power supply. The power supply display 4 ampere when i set to 2.0 volt. I dont know where is the problem. Hope i can fix this problem. Thank you You likely have a short on either the battery line or VDD_MAIN. If the power supply can maintain the voltage while supplying so much current, you should be able to find the shorted component pretty easily either via cold spray, rosin flux residue or thermal camera....

Chosen Solution Alright, so I posted on here a while ago about salvaging an iPhone X that was water damaged, and I did my best to clean it, but after taking a better look at the board under magnification I discovered the battery connector on the logic board seems to be either corroded or fried. I have found out that the connector can be replaced, but will require micro-soldering. At this point it’s more or less practice, because he’s gonna just buy a new phone if I cant fix it, but it would be awesome to get it working again....

Chosen Solution I dropped by Ipod Touch in the sink and after leaving it to dry for a few days it is back on the right date and time and even lights up again, turning on and off like it should, but the screen is unresponsive. I have tried the rice thing and even taken it apart but still the screen does not seem to work. Does anyone know a trick to getting it to respond again?...

Chosen Solution well i have the 3.1.1 software on my first gen. iPod touch and one night i restarted the iPod by pressing the on/off button along with the home button and it turned right back on and only showing the apple logo for about 15 to 20 seconds and turns off after that and now it does the same thing every time i try to turn it on… can somebody help me or give me a clue on what’s wrong with it!...

Chosen Solution I currently run MacOS Catalina on my 2014 rMBP as it’s the best balance of performance and compatibility, due to my HP LJ Pro M401n (the HP utility works in Catalina, but not tested in Big Sur; it basically acts in place of the EWS). This is the sole reason I still run Catalina this late in. Due to the zero day, while I still run MBAM as secondary protection (I don’t use normal AV, never had to on Mac) I’m a little concerned; I write a lot of these holes off as a non-concern you can solve with common sense antivirus but not quite this one....

Chosen Solution I recently purchased a macbook off eBay, it was considerably cheap, because in the description it said the keyboard was very buggy and would type different letters other than the ones pressed. I am wondering if its most likely the logic board or the keyboard itself? keeping in mind that the track pad works perfectly and when an external keyboard is used it works perfectly. Your logic board should be fine....

Switching out the CPU in this series is limited to what Apple used (i7-6700K) The newer CPU’s used in the newest 27" iMacs (i7-7700, i7-7700K) need a different PCH and the i7-4790k is just not possible....

Chosen Solution Hello, Does the reddish top capacitor looked bulged to you? Thanks. When in doubt switch it out . To test it is to pull it so just switch it out . the capacitor doesnt look like its broken a seam but it does look like its leaking . Use a magnifying glass and check for a break in the seam close to the center where the red is on the seam as for bulging you need to provide a side view for that...

Chosen Solution Opened my Laptop to clean the fans, but when I was finished it wouldn’t start up and instead show “No Bootable Device". The BIOS doesn’t show the serial number for my hdd or anything like that either. The model number is AN15-53 and I was told the ribbon cable needs to be re-inserted, but I’m not sure where or how to do that. Chosen Solution I recently replaced the digitizer on and iPad 2. After the repair the iPad turned on for about 3 seconds the turned off. I plugged it in, but nothing happened. I tried a hard reset and that didn’t work. I then went to check if iTunes recognized it, and it did. After that I reseated the LCD connecter and it still doesn’t work.
