Chosen Solution Hello all! So I’m going to make a second attempt at repairing my Xperia X after removing the metal covers over the NAND, CPU, and some other components. I can’t see any corrosion, but I’ll clean it with alcohol just in case. Over my experience of repairing this device, I’ve soaked the motherboard in isopropyl alcohol (90% alcohol by volume) multiple times for about 72 hours in total. Chosen Solution I accidentally punctured my battery while opening ny macbook. It flamed for a fraction of a second but no heat. I took an appointment at Apple to replace the battery but I am tempted to try and turn on the machine. Is it safe to try and turn it on? Hi Consider this a extension of the great answer that @fpfp has provided As @fpfp has said lithium battery’s or just battery’s in general are very very dangerous so here’s what I would do I recommend leaving it in a safe place where nothing can catch fire for 24-48hours to let the battery somewhat stabilise as once something like this happens anything can happen from here going on I would take it to a authorised repair shop to have the battery removed safely and replace it with a high quality one that way you can better protect your device from damage:-) If you have any questions please ask Hopefully this helps Thanks:-)...

Chosen Solution Apple has anticipated replacing the ear cups but I really wonder about the head band. There doesn’t appear to be removable and seems like it will wear out rather quickly. There’s a pin hole you can stick something like a SIM ejector tool into that will “eject” the headband. It feels replaceable. All of their products are designed with forced obsolescence and as little reparability as possible in mind....

Chosen Solution Hi guys, I bought a used MPB 13’’ Mid 2012 this week. I got the system with 1 4GB RAM stick installed (in the top-slot) and the other slot being empty. I bought myself 2x 8GB of RAM (Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz DDR-3) After putting in both sticks the macbook didn’t start. As example if I type “A” it give “LA” (both for uppercase and lowercase) and even more oddly it does the same when I type “L” (results as “LA”). Chosen Solution Unit is 2 years old with light use. Battery is fully charged, however unit is working properly only for bout 20-30 seconds after that seams to be losing power. Powering on and off the unit gives another 20 seconds of use. By switching on and off it can function like this for some time. Thanks everyone for your feedback! Replacing the batteries solved the problem in my case. Original batteries weren’t available when I was searching....
