Chosen Solution Hey there, my Macbook Air early 2015 13” changes to standby when I´m connecting it to my (working) Magsafe. Battery is working as well. When I disconnect it, it´s turning back on by itself. History, I changed the logic board after the Macbook had a water damage and turned off itself after 10 Seconds. Now everything is working again, except charging. Does anybody know anything about something like that?...

Chosen Solution Hello I just swapped a old battery for a new one, no problem changing the battery. (Mid2012 model) But after i got it all together and trying to turn on the machine, nothing happens. No display, fans, chimes, all dead. The charger is green for the first 3-4 seconds when connect, and goes orange after this. I measure battery with voltmeter and its it showing 10v. I tried resetting SMC and PRAM....

Chosen Solution Recently I built an SSD (128GB Samsung 470) into a late 2007 Macbook, and swapped the old HDD with the Superdrive, I used Carbon Copy Cloner to transfer the system, Desktop, Applications, Library and System is on the SSD, user folders on the HDD symlinked to the SSD home folder. Everything works fine, except when I close the lid the computer restarts. Before I noticed this, I tried to move the sleep image to the hdd to save space on the ssd with the following command: sudo pmset -a hibernatefile /Volumes/DATA/sleepimage I started to notice this problem, so I formatted the SSD and restored a previous backup with the original settings, and deleted the sleepimage from DATA....

Chosen Solution I have an 2008 Aluminum Macbook and when I try boot, it gets stuck on the apple logo page with the spinning wheel below it. I have tried to boot in safe mode but i get the error messsage “disc02: I/O error” . I tried next to reset the PRAM but no results. I don’t have the original installation disk so I cannot boot from there. I have read that the problem may be the hard drive....

Chosen Solution I have a 2013 24" emc 2111 iMac. The motherboard is bad but I’m pretty sure the LCD fine. Is there a converter to attach to the LCD input to use it as an external? I’m working on it now and will do a guide on it as soon as the power supply comes in. (probably the first of next week. Get the number off of the back of the display....

Chosen Solution When I turn on the tv if comes on and shows a picture for about 2 seconds and turns off and then turns back on automatically again until picture shows for about 2 seconds. Then it turns off again. It continues this cycle for several minutes and then it finally comes on and stays on. I have changed power cord, tried different outlet, unplugged power and pushed and held power button on the back for 30 seconds....

Chosen Solution the car has power but makes no noise at all when i turn the key. If the car makes no noise when you turn the key it means you have a starter problem either theres no power to the starter the starters not working or the solenoid is bad. Could be a collage of things. Spark plugs. Ignition coil. Starter. Spark plug cables. Might as well see if it’s getting spark, and go from there

Chosen Solution After iPhone 7 Plus battery replacement, I am having trouble with the home button (and/or Taptic Engine), speakers, volume buttons, and microphone. These are non-functional. I have checked the connectors and reseated the Taptic Engine without improvement. All other functions appear intact with the use of the on-screen home button. However, the inability to communicate by phone (the calls still go through) leaves me without the primary function, not to mention I don’t want to go back to a world without Touch ID!...

Chosen Solution So, I own a repair shop. a customer came in with a broken iphone 8. I have looked at the iphone 7 screen and the pictures of an iphone 8 screen + the teardown of the iPhone 8. From my understanding the screens are exactly the same. Thoughts? When you install the iPhone 7 LCD screen on the iPhone 8, the phone will stick on the Apple LOGO with a white screen....

Chosen Solution Around the 30th December, I replaced my phone’s battery and screen with new ones I bought from iFixit. After that I charged my phone twice without any problems. I did however notice that the bottom left corner of the screen was not pushed as far in/down as it should be, so I removed the bottom left pentalobe screw, pushed the screen further in/down and put the screw back in....

Chosen Solution I had given my Iphone 7 Plus for battery change Just a day after i started facing issue where the phone would shut down and restart at 10% battery from a level of 70% to 30% and charge back to the shut down level very fast that is faster than normal charging pattern. This problem was never there before the battery change. I went back to the Authorised Apple Service they said this happens sometimes and if I restore the phone this problem would go away but on doing the restore also this problem is yet there....

Chosen Solution So today I repaired a customers IPhone X screen. The customer had a screen burn with the keyboard being the location of the burn. Due to this being an AMOLED screen I am familiar with this issue. However after putting on multiple different screens, the screen burn was still there. Any ideas? Are you copying the screen data to the new screen? If so I have seen this happen a few times where the burn gets transferred as well as the data....

Chosen Solution Hi, In my house, not a hair dryer nor a heat gun exist and I don’t really feel like going out to buy one. Is there something I could use to loosen the adhesive that is NOT a hair dryer or a heat gun? Could I use an oven if so what temperature? Thanks, Dawgie @ipod5_and_ipod4 ,Dawgie , Do you have a heat pack/hot water bottle or something similar you can heat up in the microwave or very carefully in oven and then lay this over screen to loosen adhesive(check often as you do not wanting to get too hot)....

Chosen Solution My Dell laptop (INSPIRON mini 1012) is having the same 7 beeps error, will the same method fix it?? 7 beep usually indicates an processor failure either the apu or cpu reseating is usually the only option . There is probably a heat issue here .perhaps the fan is plugged with dirt or the thermal paste has broken down and needs to be replaced . You can try resetting the fault code by removing the cmos battery for about 5 minutes ....

Chosen Solution I have spilled wine on my trackpad and it does not click anymore but still works.Is there a easy way to clean it? You can actually pull the trackpad out of the topcase… it’s not too difficult, you have to remove the battery which, if I’m not mistaken, requires the tri-wing driver. The trackpad is also a tri-wing. Once you have the trackpad out… be very careful with it and try a little water with a paper towel and clean whatever looks like it has wine on it....

Chosen Solution Hello, 15” MacBook Pro 2012 Unibody. 16GB RAM. 2.6Ghz Can I put a 2TB SSD in the Hard Drive Bay and an additional 2TB SSD in the optical bay using the adapter? I’m asking because there seems to be a question as to the capacity of drives in the optical bay… something about 750GB? I’d REALLY like to just put TWO 2TB drives in as they’re really cheap now ($199) and it’d be a great upgrade to have....

Chosen Solution Subject line kind of says it all. I have a late-2013 MBP whose battery has inflated, i.e. filled up with gas. Obviously it needs to be replaced but I’m wondering if an i-opener can still be used to free up the adhesive in a situation like this. I’m concerned that the heat will cause the gas to expand and possibly create a hazardous situation. I’m also wondering if the trapped gas will act as an insulator and prevent the i-opener from working at all....

Or do I have to throw it … since I do not have the possibility of finding patterns of the 2nd layer …?...

Chosen Solution I have an A1398 with a broken screen. I find some other 15’ retina screen replacements that are way cheaper, such as the A1286. I wonder if the A1398 is compatible with screen from any other model No, others displays will not work. The retina displays are basically not repairable so they are in very high demand, Now if you didn’t get the Retina it could be easily and cheaply repaired....

Chosen Solution So looked at an iphone 7 for a friend the other evening, came to me completely flat and not charging, initial look in the charging port showed obvious physical damage and 2 pins missing, my guess is he was trying to clean lint/fluff out of the charging port rather aggressively. First port of call was to replace the charging port and upon completion the phone will indeed now power up, however as soon as it powers up it then sits there on 1% battery and wont charge, the phone will not go into DFU mode and is not recognised by itunes when plugged into a PC....
