Chosen Solution Hello, I recently replaced my screen on my iPhone 7. It won’t turn on. I’ve tried charging it and checking the cables. It recognizes it in iTunes. What can I do? Help! in the same boat, going to continue with problemsolving. swapped back to old screen, that one is not working either. hopefully the connection for power is not damaged. Just after having that problem and fixed! Just disconnected the battery and reconnected, all working grand now....

Chosen Solution My iPhone won’t turn on after battery replacement. I have looked many places and tried many things. Story: My iPhone broke so we bought a cheap one from online, took the phone apart and put the battery following a guide exactly except I mixed up the battery casing and screen connector casing screws so I sorted those out as best I could and put it back together. Nothing, screen didn’t work, couldn’t get any response from the vibrator, after a long charge same thing, except I did feel the phone warm while it charged....

Chosen Solution So the other day I just randomly picked up up my iPod and it showed the lock screen that typically shows up when someone guesses the wrong password too many times except for this time it read “iPod is disabled, try again in 21,741,428 minutes.” The last thing I want to do is wait 40 years to use my iPod again. Now I know the common solution to this problem is to simply restore it, but I have not backed up any of my files or synced it to any computer yet....

Chosen Solution I recently changed the battery , headphone/hold button and back piece to my 5th gen iPod , and ive restored it a couple of times and now its giving me the sad faced iPod and tells me to go to www.apple.com/support/iPod . dont know what to do ? Chosen Solution I just replaced the screen on my iPod, tearing the copper tape on the back of the rear camera in the process. When I first tested it, the power button didn’t work—but it turned on after I plugged it in and worked fine. I disassembled it and found nothing wrong with the power/volume ribbon cable or anything else. Upon reassembly, it will no longer power on at all, even when plugged in....

Chosen Solution My late 2013 model macbook pro has a large crack in the LCD screen, and my brother has a macbook pro from early 2013. I was wondering if it would be able to just switch around the displays? They are both retina display and both are 15”. Sorry they are not interchangeable. Chosen Solution Initially noticed morning after a lightning storm - iMac worked fine prior to this. First 3 diagnostic LED’s are lit, but display back-light doesn’t turn on. There’s also no start up chime sound, but hdd seems to spool up, and white LED is on. No visible signs of damage to power supply, but want to confirm output voltages. Are ps outputs +24v & +12v only? LED #4 Indicates that the computer and the LCD display panel are communicating....

Chosen Solution Decided to upgrade my internal Hd from 160GB to new Hitachi travelstar 7k500…i have read tons of people complaining on several forums that they have experienced strange beeps from newly upgraded hd as well as intermitting freezes and beachballs…somebody suggested this might have something to do with sata II capability and the 1.7 efi firmware update…does anybody know if there’s a definitive answer to this… I’ve been upgrading hard drives since I put one in a Mac+ in 1986 and never heard of any of the problems you describe....

Chosen Solution Hi. all i had to detach my MacBook pro 15 " 2018 (A1990) screen because it was broken. The keyboard backlight dies not. work anymore. Did I mess something. up or the backlight cable is connected. to the screen? If your screen is no longer attached, the reason your keyboard backlight does not work anymore is likely because your computer can no longer communicate with the ambient light sensor....

Chosen Solution So after about 2 years of dealing with my crazy slow iMac. I decided to open it up and replace the HDD with an SSD drive to give more power and better performance. After swapping the drives and putting everything back together, on first power up turned on okay. But now I’ve noticed some vertical lines in the screen. (Links are the pictures. Chosen Solution I have a late 2010 MacBook Air that has suddenly started sleeping every few seconds. I suspect a problem with the Hall Effect sensor falsely indicating the lid is closed. I could not find much information on the location. With some experimentation, it appears this is on the left side of the laptop, where the I/O board is located. Is the Hall Effect sensor part of the I/O board?...

Chosen Solution I have been using an unofficial magsafe 2 charger ( correct 85w) for a couple years without any problem. However, it overheated when I used it resting on a leather sofa. There was no spark nor burn marks but after unplugging it and letting it cool down, my macbook could only charge when powered off or in sleep mode (lid closed). When trying to charge whilst using the laptop, the magsafe light would blink alternatively green/orange very fast and not charge....

Unfortunately haven’t done a iTunes backup for a while.. The photo’s i so desperately need are only stored on the device. Chosen Solution After battery replacement, iPhone while is power on, touch stop responds and in 1-2 minutes device restarts. Restarts keep happens and while is in standby. The problem is not appeared in specific time after boot up. I tried 3 different new batteries and the problem still apears! I tried also to reinstall the old battery and the problem disappeared! I dont know what to do… With the new battery I have better battery life but device keep restarting which is very annoying… With the old battery I have no restarts but it needs charging every 3-4 hours!...

This question comes up every couple of months. Even if all the parts are available on something, the total cost for the parts would be double the price of a complete unit.
