Chosen Solution I had some trouble cloning my HDD to a Patriot Ignite 480GB SSD (PI480GS25SSDR) it simply doesn’t boot when used in the hard drive bay. I can boot it from an external enclosure only when the original harddrive is in the internal bay. If I remove the original Harddrive it is unable to boot from the external alone. I am running Yosemite, which should have TRIM support (thought I doubt this is the problem) I’ve tried a clone (using carbon copy cloner), a time machine restororation, a clean install of yosemitie, and mavericks(didn’t work on my machine after the first reboot the system would freeze and not progress any further, I had to install onto an external drive from another mac and then move to my other computer)/ I even tried a clean install of snow leopard from the original CDs (thinking surely this should work) but again it was unable to complete the installation on my computer....

Chosen Solution Hai everyone, I have a specific question. I repairing apple product for almost 5 years now and i just opened my first shop. So i will be repairing for the next year also. I am repairing only Apple products. iPhone - iPad etc.. Is repairing bad for you eyes? I mean i am now young (27 years) but for the future i don’t know. I do see that i have light grey ring around my eyes....

Chosen Solution i had My girlfriends iphone on my pocket and i fall having it in my pocket…the iphone seemed like nothing happened, no scratches, no broken screen, no nothing…but i didnt turned on nor wanted to receive any charge. Currently is with some technicians but the dont find what it has. They told me that everything inside seemed perfectly normal, that they tested the screen and the touch and it worked, and they also tested with a new power supply and it didnt turned on neither....

Chosen Solution I have recently bought an iMac 600MHz. I’ve replaced the PRAM battery, hopping that it would resolve the problem. But the keyboard power button doesn’t boot the iMac. I have tried another iMac keyboard and the button initiates shutdown, but not start-up. Any idea’s? After the biege machines, Apple discontinued the ability to start up from the keyboard. Use the power button on the right hand side of the optical port....

Chosen Solution someone spilled juice or something on around the return, shift, and six other keys in that area. How do I remove the keys, clean them, and put them back on? Chosen Solution My device has two usb ports on right side an one on left. The left side port has quit working. I do not understand this stuff.I tried the battery removal and hold power switch fix to no avail. The usb will work to charge my phone etc but nodata tranfer. Anyhelp would be appreciated. Chosen Solution Is the logic board the same or different for the s5 and the s5 active using the same carrier? The S5 logic board is different than the S5 Active logic board.

I just saw a list of different logic boards in here and each of them has a different phone company (Verizon, AT&T etc), does it matter if I buy one of those logic boards and install it in an Iphone which was bought from a different phone company and in a different country?...

Chosen Solution I’ve replaced the the entire screen of my sister’s iPhone 6s. After that the screen didn’t display anything while the phone would work as well as the Touch ID and the touch screen. After one day the display magicaly started to work but only for half an hour and then went black again (all other functions of the phone still seemed to work). one cycle (screen turning off and then turning back on again) could take from a few minutes to entire days....

Chosen Solution I have replaced iPhone 6 display. Al works fine, except front facing camera when i record video, audio it si very low, like it’s mute becouse is very hard to hear. It’s strange becouse audio in rear camera work fine during video record, calls, and voice record. thanks you This problem is cause by a misalignment of the frontal microphone. Chosen Solution We heard a pop and started to smell smoke, and realized it was from the outlet we had my mom’s Mac plugged into after she tried to start her it, and nothing happened at all. I believe that the surge fried the psu because there was smoke residue on the inside of the display, and 0/4 of the indicator LEDs are lighting up when I took it apart. I’m wondering if that’s a correct assumption, and if there is a guide to replacing it if the psu is the issue or whatever else might be the problem....

I think this connected to motherboard. But can’t find where connected the second, small one. This is inside the power supply. I don’t whant to brake it, so i need to be sure how to unplug....

Chosen Solution The rest of the connector is attached to the flex cable, can i solder it and how? The fact you ask such question implies you’ve never done that before, so the answer is no, you can’t expect to be able to solder a plastic connector on a motherboard unless you have quite a bit of previous experience in soldering on your shoulders. Plus you would need tools and consumables that would cost you more than a brand new top Huawei to begin microsoldering....

Chosen Solution Hello, so the title may be rather confusing. Today, I was browsing Safari on iPhone SE 64 gb when all of a sudden, the screen turned black and phone “died”. I was unable to do anything for like an hour but was able to put it in DFU mode. So I performed a complete restore. The restore went well except the screen was black. At the end of the process, it asked me to insert my SIM card (since I had it in my spare phone) and enter my Apple ID (since the phone was iCloud locked)....

Chosen Solution My iphone 7 screen has stopped working almost suddenly. It was previously cracked and I continued to use it without getting it replaced and it worked perfectly like nothing was wrong. It now does not work at all but the phone still receives notifications and I can play music through earphones by pressing the small control button on the earphone cable. So I thought I just needed the screen changed so I took it to a replacement shop, and they came back to me saying that they tried two screens and it didn’t work still....

Chosen Solution I found an iPhone X in a river and it wont power on. It recognized in iTunes. When I try to restore it the Apple logo flashes and then in iTunes it says this iphone cant be restored error 2009. What can I do? With water damage, you have to decontaminate the logic board before doing anything else. Not every water-damaged phone is recoverable. That said, IMHO, it’s always worth a try otherwise we are just piling up the e-waste....
