Chosen Solution I have been having issues with my MacBook Pro 13 inch 2011 model. I have tried putting it in recovery mode, but now it will not load completely. It shows the status bar is fully loaded, but it will never take me further. I tried using verbose or single user mode to repair my disk, but now the computer screen splits when I try to enter anything. I know that my disc is messed up and I’m trying to fix it....

Chosen Solution I’m hoping what I’m planning is possible. I’m looking to strip and modify my PS4 to be much smaller, even smaller than the Playbook 4. Is therr any way I can do it? I’m looking to start traveling around the world, and I’d like to have my PS4 with me from time to time, just cos it’s got better processing power than the PS Vita, and also I have a $@$* ton of games in my e-library....

One day I dropped it directly on the back (no bounce, it jast fell and stayed in place). Screen started to behave weird with vertical pink/orange faded stripes. Chosen Solution Hi Guys, O.k Here goes, my macbook has really been through the wars after getting red wine spilt on it. I have personally given it an alchohol bath and clean the whole board top to bottom. it’s supposedley also had a reflow as I took it to a guy who did them and I also did the ‘oven trick’ several times. If I press the power button the two fans spin up for less that a second and nothing happens....

Chosen Solution we bought a mx300 2t m2 sata for mass storage i need suggestion for choice the best adapter/price solution for let it work full sata3 via pcie so this is an ssd m2 sata version (not ngff), on internet i found different solution -expensive marvel chip 4x lane -cheap one 2x lane -maybe normal card pcie to sata and after use adapter for m2. the seller suggest 2x is enough so im going to buy cheap one....

Chosen Solution My iphone 6s always had the latest update installed however occasionally it resets itself. It happens while using the phone or while it’s locked. It can happen while it’s charging or while it’s connected to my computer for sync. Sometimes it locks and I can’t press or do anything and a few seconds later I see some random colors on the display and then it resets itself. Sometimes, in the morning it asks for my “passkey after restart” so I know it has restarted itself during the night....

Chosen Solution My mid-2011 iMac came with a DVD drive. Is it possible to swap this for a Blu-Ray drive? Yes you can, but there’s a limited range of Blu-Ray drives that fit the bay correctly. You’ll need a 9.5mm slot-load SATA drive, such as the Panasonic/Matsushita UJ-267 CD/DVD/BR burner. Most of the laptop-style bare drives available are both 12.7mm and tray-load, and won’t fit the iMac at all. Assuming that your internal SuperDrive still works acceptably, it might make more sense to buy (or assemble) an external Blu-Ray player, and connect to your iMac through USB....

Chosen Solution Had chlorine water damage originally, replaced LCD and digitizer to no avail. Also, have replaced LCD flex cable and currently waiting on new keyboard flex cable. But it occurred to me that it may be the battery is no good, or perhaps the motherboard was short-circuited after I tried charging the tablet, when screen didnt come on after installing LCD & digitizer.. The back of tablet became really hot really quick so I disconnected it....

Chosen Solution I have a Lat E6400 I got really cheap from a charity with the Quadro NVS 160M GPU, but the hard drive was removed. I know how to install the drive, but the problem is with this laptop, I need a SATA II compatible SSD due to the Intel NB not supporting SATA III, and Dell not enabling it in the BIOS properly until the E6X20 so the 6X10 is prone to the same issue....

Chosen Solution Hey all, So I just bought a used 2015 13" MacBook Pro retina (A1507) for a Christmas gift. Checked it out with the seller for almost 20min and it seemed to be flawless. Got it home, reinstalled MacOS, still working. After about 4 hours working on it the keyboard started to act up. Sure enough it’s now not working 90% of the time. Every so often after I restart the computer it will come back to life for 1-10min, but this is not consistent and mostly doesn’t work....

Chosen Solution I am having a problem with my lid not remaining closed when not in use. As I attempt to close the lid it springs back up about a quarter of an inch. There are no dents in the case and nothing on the exterior that looks suspect. It seems as though the magnets do not engage preventing it from closing all the way. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a fix to realign the magnets?...

Logic Board Repair? much like this question, i have 2 logic boards here that pass the visual inspection, no corrosion or signs of any issues. when i plug them in and power them up, the screen flashes white, goes black but computer stays running. no sign of activity on an external monitor either. is this something that can be fixed? thanks!...

Chosen Solution Hello Ifixit community, this is my first post. The problem is as follows: My macbook air 13" Mid 2012 keeps on turning off abruptly when unplugged. It can last from anywhere around 2 minutes, to nothing (a small sound appears when powering on, yet cuts off even before booting sound). Initially it would last longer, yet quickly degraded to its current status. However, when plugged in, it works with no problem at all… I initially thought the battery must have degraded really, really quickly (i replaced it about 2-3 months ago), yet as can be seen with coconut, its in good health with realtively few cycles....
