My theory is that the battery may have died even though I had 21% left and was going back to land but they were the original batteries from 2017. Chosen Solution So last night, my MBA was dead from the day before, idle killed it I guess. Plugged it in, and logged into Windows through Boot Camp with about 1% battery. When I logged in, the entire system abnormally stopped, and my MagSafe adapter’s light went from Amber to Green, just out of the middle of nowhere. Chosen Solution I just replaced my battery that i purchased at IFIXIT. I installed and charged for 10 hours as instructed. The green light on charger came on immediately, however as soon as you disconnect the charger the laptop shuts down. With the charger plugged in I power up and the laptop is telling me that there is no battery connected. 0 cycles etc.. Any suggestions. I hope I didn’t waste my money on a brand new battery....
Chosen Solution One night, I closed the macbook to put it to sleep and when I opened it a few minutes later, the screen didn’t light up. The status light was pulsating, indicating that it was still in sleep mode. I did a hard shut down and restart, but after the chime, logo, status wheel transitioned into the desktop, the mac went into sleep mode again (x10 times of trying). I ran through resetting the PRAM, and other suggestion for resetting the SMC, tried starting in safe mode, but nothing worked....
