Chosen Solution Is the lcd on a1150 compatable to a1226? Unfortunately, those two LCDs are not cross-compatible. My understanding is that they have different connectors for the display data cable. Yes, but I think the PANEL as itself is compatible. The DATA cable is the same, you meant the backlight connector, right ?
Chosen Solution I was about to replace my LCD screen which has gone black. I see some listed as “without backlight” while some make no mention? How do I tell if the screen is dead or is it just the backlight? Is the backlight a separate component in the camera? Your wonderful screen replacement guide makes no mention of the possibility or method of replacing the backlight. I think my original damage was probably caused by moisture penetration....
Chosen Solution Replaced IPhone8 screen and at first everything seemed perfect then after restarting the phone a quarter or the screen vertically is permanently black.
