Chosen Solution I have a mid 2012 MBP with an i7 and GTX 650M. It came with an 85W L-tipped magsafe AC adapter. It now no longer makes a connection in any way, the LED on the adapter doesn’t light up, and the MBP doesn’t respond to being plugged in at all. I tried the AC adapter on other Macs, and it works as it should. I then happened to try the 85W T-tipped magsafe off my girlfriend’s older C2D Mac, and it works, but you have to move it around to make a connection....

Chosen Solution I’ve got what I’m pretty sure is a new one. My iPhone 4S (AT&T) was having problems muting the microphone as it believed a headset was plugged in. My solution was to deliver a short spray of WD-40 into the headphone jack, which solved the problem but caused a new one. Now there is a small blob of oil visible on top of the LCD. I’d like to know if it might be possible to clean it out by taking apart the phone, or if I would be better off replacing the whole front LCD/digitizer combo....

Chosen Solution hi i seen on a video by ifixit that you had an iphone 3g/3gs which you had modified the camera to 10x digital zoom and said it was un-reversable any chance it can be done on an iphone 4 and if so how is it done please i would find it a very useful tool to have, thanks…. Chosen Solution Hello, I put a new lcd screen on my wife’s iPad 2 and it did good until I put a new digitizer on it. Now, I can barely see what is on the screen. What could be wrong now? Would it be the backlight that went out? Update (08/07/2016) I have also already did a restore using ITunes. I accidently damaged the power/volume ribbon cable in the repair so I can’t do a hard reset....

IT will be great! rahul razdan, the RAM is contained in an IC which is soldered onto the logic board. It is not possible for the regular DIY’er to change that IC....

Chosen Solution Recently, my PS4 Slim (CUH-2115B)’s power supply went out and left me unable to access any of my game data. However, i currently have a seperate PS4 Slim console in need of a hard drive. However, the separate PS4 Slim is a different model (CUH-2215B). Is it possible to place the broken PS4’s hard drive in the other, different model PS4 Slim to play my games and have their saved data while i wait for my power supply replacement to arrive?...

Chosen Solution I remembe the iPhone 8 screens where firmware locked and unreplaceable. Is that still the case or was that fixed? Thanks The screens can be replaced, the issue is with the Ambient Light Sensor and True Tone colours. There is a programmer that allows you to transfer over the ALS info to the replacement screen for devices that are not on iOS 12 but as far as I know, the True Tone functionality is still disabled....

Chosen Solution Tried to protect headphone jack and docking connection with wd40 while on a sailing trip. Probably sprayed too much. First some apps froze. next day became worse. left turned off for a few days in a warm place. Then seemed to work fine except wifi greyed ’no wifi’ Then 2 days later it suddenly shut down and battery grew very hot and now not taking a charge or working at all....

Chosen Solution Hello, I would like to know, if there’s a possibility to change the stock speakers for better ones. Sadly, what your system came with is the same throughout the MacBook Air line. Your best bet is to get a pair of external speakers either wired or Bluetooth.

Chosen Solution IBook G4 wont close completely and sleep. Any help on latch or hinge needed. I doubt that the latch is the problem. If the book won’t close look for what’s keeping it open.

Chosen Solution So suddenly my left speaker lost its bass and mid frequencies, and only hi / thin sounds are coming from it. Right one works well. Sometimes when an hour or two passed in mute, and i start a music , i hear a POP sound from the left side as soon as I higher the volume and quickly it looses its power as described. Apple has a warranty repair for this!...

Chosen Solution I’m working on a Dell 15” XPS 7590 that is was brought in for intermittently going to the lock screen. Determined the issue is actually that the lid sensor is sending out bad data. It will read for a very short blip that the lid is closed, just long enough to lock the user’s screen, but then will read as open. So the screen will light back up. My issue is, I cannot determine specifically where the sensor itself for this mechanism is....

So I don’t want to buy a new laptop. Can I upgrade my motherboard with the i7 of the same series, avaiable from ifixit webstore? Connectivity is the same I guess just the type of processor and GPU attached to the logic board....

Chosen Solution Just search “A1369 LCD”, they use the same LCD screens from 2010 to present. They will ship you ones either from LG or Samsung, both are good and should be brand new. Find one and link it, I’ll double check it.

Chosen Solution I have a Macbook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53 GHz Mid 2009 (one fan only) rather than a standard Macbook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 (with two fans) and the wifi has stopped working - assume the Airport card has died. There is no guide to fix a Macbook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53 GHz Mid 2009. I believe the card is located in the centre-back under the black clutch cover....

Chosen Solution MY MACBOOK PRO logic board is fried but the hard drive has all files and Software can i connect it to a IMAC :{ HELPPPPP No, but you can pull the drive, put it in an external case an access files that way. You can even boot from the external case on some other macs. (I say some because Apple has gone back to custom installing/updating the OS that works only with certain machines… like the old grey OEM disks)....
