Chosen Solution My iphone4 charger doesn’t work. When I plug it in the phone beeps and flashes continually. It works on another charger so the charger probably needs repairing. Chargers are usually not worth fixing, I’d suggest buying a new one. 3rd party chargers are pretty cheap.

I have checked the spec on everymac.com and it seems to be exactly the same except fitted with a different CPU. So the question is, if I buy this replacement board and swap over the CPU, am I getting the same spec board. The only differences I can see are the L2/L3 cache, which I assume is in the CPU....

Chosen Solution Ok so when I turn on the laptop, the screen is black and there is no chime but I can hear the DVD drive and the Hard Drive spin up. I’ve heard of dead GPU problems but this is a 2006 Macbook pro with the Radeon X1600 and it wasn’t covered under the replacement program so I dont think this is the issue. Chosen Solution after following instructions to replace the lcd screen, put it back together and now when I try To turn it on the logo comes on and asks for a charge but it never charges or turns completely on Go back through this guide and double check your work. You may have damaged one of the flexes or connectors. You could also try to put the old screen back in to see if it works or not....
Chosen Solution While changing battery I have spotted signs of moisture, should I worry? The phone was not dropped on water. It has a broken back glass so I suppose that’s how moisture got inside. What should I do? As long as there’s no corrosion on the board I’d leave it open to dry out for a bit. When you close it up sellotape the back glass top to bottom to seal it....

When the phone boots up (or after switching the airplane mode on and off) it finds the signal (at the weakest level)—but after 10 seconds, the signal is lost and the phone starts searching for the carrier again… Everything else works normally (WiFi, etc.), and I can use it as a “Skype” phone, listen to music, and surf the web....
