Chosen Solution I replaced my battery earlier today and when I finished plugged in the power cord it booted up normally. I continued to the calibration step which said to charge to 100% then let it remain at 100% for 2 hrs which I did and then the next step was to let the battery drain to 0% and remain at 0% for 5 hrs before charging all the way to 100% again....

Chosen Solution keyboard is not typing any word but mouse is working and not refreshing f5. When you start your computer try and access the BIOS. See if your keyboard shows up in the menu. If your keyboard is unresponsive even at start up, I believe that it might need to be replaced. Of course you can also try to tap F11 as soon as you press the power button to see if this will launch Recovery Manager....

Any suggestions? @Bruce Rogers if your hearing it during a spin only, then it’s probably the rear bearings. Not the easiest repair. Both the tub and basket have to be removed. To do that requires almost a complete tear down of the unit....

I am sure I’m not alone in wanting a 13" MacBook with a high res display and enough horsepower to be useful. Chosen Solution Batteries don’t age well, due to there chemical action. Think of how your cars battery only lasts, if you are lucky you’ll get 4 to 6 years. Lithium Ion batteries are no different it makes no difference how many cycles they just wear out. For reference: I just put in a new battery (the third) in my 2011 15” MacBook Pro (which has a 2012 logic board) and mine only had around 350 cycles....

A Core i3, of any generation, is a no-go. The good news is that it can take any Core 2 chip, which means you can install a 3.06 GHz T9900 or X9100 and it will work fine....
