Chosen Solution Anyone feel like the ifixit replacement isn’t that much better than the old iPhone battery? I recently replaced my 2 year old iPhone 6 battery and it doesn’t seem to last any longer. This is gonna be dependent on a few things. Where did you get the battery? Like they said, are you using after market/car chargers? How often are you on your phone? Chosen Solution I recently received a phone and was told it caught fire when plugged in through the charging port. My observation that it was just a cheap charger that caused the fire. The iPhone will not power on and I want to know if there is anything I can do to save it. The person said the phone was at 10% when she went to plug it in. Chosen Solution My iPod classic 160 GB stopped working randomly (not after a fall or smth). I tried formatting it but it always stops on random songs when synchronising. It can actually still hold and play about 4500 songs, and some more but some of them can’t play. The other ones won’t even synchronise. I checked and I have 5200 reallocs and 176 pending sectors. Is this disc drive beyond repair and should I just try installing another one or is there anything I can try with this one on software or physical level?...

Chosen Solution After I removed the Touch IC chip, I put some solder onto the pads of all 3 chips, U2401, and both capacitors C2432 and C2433. The solder was placed successfully, but when I tried to rectify some imperfections, the solder disappeared on a few pads and I couldn’t put solder on them again. See photo below. Chosen Solution Dear All, I would like to know if iphone 6 screen available on ifixit are original ones. Kootan, the ifixit parts are not OEM parts since they are not “made” by Apple. ifixit takes plenty of precaution that they are only selling parts that are made to the same specification as an OEM part. ifixit backs those parts with a pretty solid warranty.

It this just another name for it? @gigabit87898 , Galaxy on5 and core prime are not the same. Chosen Solution I ordered a replacement rear iSight camera from iFixit as the previous one was causing the camera app to freeze. After replacing the camera everything now works as it should but the rear iSight camera is blurry, not crisp. Photos taken also are blurry. Do yoy you think it’s something with the rear iSight camera itself or somehow it’s not seated properly? I would pull the part again and use isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip on the inside of the glass and make sure the lens isn’t covered by a small piece of plastic....

Got Yosemite up and running on the new SSD. That was 3 years ago. I cleaned my keyboard with air pressure but the backspace key and spacebar are still intermittent problems. I have to press hard on the buttons to operate it. Chosen Solution Hi, The MacBook was freezing and crashing occasionally and the battery status was - replace soon, so I replaced the Mac battery with a new third party battery. The battery seems to work well but Mac boot diagnostic tool shows it as not working normally, even though all the data says it’s working perfectly and once inside Catalina the status shows as good. Now i want to go back to MacOS, so I went into recovery mode, only it displayed the 2003F error. I then made a bootable installer on a 8 GB USB, and then went into Disk Utility from there. I tried to erase the internal drive so I could install Mojave on it....
