Chosen Solution As of 7am this morning my Macbook Pro 15" Unibody (june 2009) refuses to power on at all, no fan, no hdd activity, no lcd activity… all i get when i press the power button is a quick flash of the sleep indicator on the front panel next to the IR sensor. I’ve tried resetting PRAM/SMC with no success, i also removed the batter and pressed power for 10 seconds, no success....
Chosen Solution Problem: iPod won’t play files - I can navigate the menu, but when i click to play a song it just won’t play. It just shows the album with the usual time bar at the screen bottom, and stays at 0:00 as long as it’s turned on. I’ve tried the Apple guide. Also, it won’t appear in iTunes while connected with cable. I’ve sidestepped this a couple of times by setting it in recovery mode, but the problem mentioned above is not possible to sidestep even with an recovery....

Update (08/16/2017) No sorry I should have been more specific. I removed the drum from the machine so that I could change the bearing seals. When we pulled the drum out of the washer there was still quite a bit of water inside of the plastic base of the drum....

Seems like there has been a recent fix issued by Apple that makes it easier at their stores to fix individual keys. I’m not sure if IFixIt will be issuing a similar kit, but the Apple Tech I worked with was done in less than 5 minutes. Chosen Solution So I have an old MBP. Aside from a few dings the thing seems to be fine. But there is a issue with the keyboard where you have to press the keys in a certain way for them to work. Not like a short because the keys will work if you hit them in the right way. If you shine a light under the keys look dusty like badly dusty....
Chosen Solution I have an acer Nitro (i7-4720hq, 860m) and it has a new battery I put in it. But for some reason it boots for 5 seconds (on battery power) just to turn off. Then I boot it with the ac adapter and it boots fine, unplug it, then it works as it normally should on battery power alone. So I am confused why this is the case. @has99crafting I would agree with jayeff that calibration is worth looking at....

The battery is also new but the problem didn’t occur with the old screen in place. 3D Touch barely works because of it. What I’m trying to figure out is whether the new screen is faulty or not. Chosen Solution location of taillight fuse montyanthony14, that is fuse number #10 in the fuse panel on the passenger side. Here is the real issue, that fuse also controls the Dash and console lights, Driver’s multiplex control unit, Front parking lights, Front side marker lights, Glove box light, License plate light, Taillights, Vanity mirror lights. So if that fuse would be out, none of the aforementioned items would work. The #10 fuse in the passenger side fuse box on my 1999 Accord EX is just labeled “small lights/license light,” but it is often the key to these problems....

The BIOS attempts to boot from the hard disk which fails and then tries the next device in line which is often the network. Since booting from the network is possible only under very specific conditions, this too fails....
