Chosen Solution I have installed a new ADAT 500gb SSD in my girlfriends laptop. On start up I get kernel panics. After about 2 or three reboots I am able to log in. I have changed the flex cable (hard drive cable) twice so this is not the problem. I have emptied out the PRAM, tried smc resets, I am out of ideas. Furthermore I find the battery life is affected negatively....
Chosen Solution So two weeks ago I dropped my phone and the screen popped out. I popped it back in and the screen was still visible on some parts, others were black and colorful. But after that, I kept opening and closing the screen to see if it’d work better but the visible parts were just getting eaten up by the black and colorful parts. And soon, the screen wouldn’t really turn on anymore....
Chosen Solution I have high suspicion that the problem lies on the circled part in the image. I’ve nudged the wires around and found out that a brief moment of audio comes back when I ‘push’ the wires together around the circled area. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Chosen Solution I’ve been given a Retina MacBook i7/16/512 laptop with a broken screen and keyboard (previous user had it docked permanently. I’m curious if its a the 2016 -> 2017 logic boards are a direct swap as this could be an awesome upgrade to keep me going on a perfectly good 2016 chassis? The connectors and the connecting parts are the same between these two systems. So it does appear to be compatible....

Chosen Solution Is the Moto X Pure Edition replacement screen from iFixIt OEM or aftermarket? I’m talking about the ones here: Moto X Pure Edition Screen If you look at the back of the pictures, the black screen looks aftermarket and the white screen looks OEM. If I want an aftermarket part, they are much cheaper elsewhere. Having said that, it iFixIt does sell an OEM screen for the Moto X Pure, i’ll definitely get it here....

Chosen Solution So I replaced both the battery and the lightning cable in my 5s, and once I completed the reassembly process completely, the phone still will not charge or boot up. It did not boot up or charge before hand, so I thought it was either the battery or the lightning port. the battery got pretty beat up during disassembly, so I ordered a new one along with a new port....
Chosen Solution My iPod Photo is stuck on hold. I cannot reboot. I also tried installing a hold switch from another iPod Photo & that didn’t work, so it isn’t a bad switch. Any ideas? New hard drive? New logic board? Something else? I got the problem solved with the help of a contributor to ifixit & am posting the solution here in case it helps anyone else. In my case the ribbon wire going from the switch to the logic board had somehow become a bit loose & wasn’t securely fastened....
Chosen Solution Hello! About GPU temperature, GPU Diode 63C, HeatSinc 62C. Is It normal for ATI 4670? Many thanks! The temperature is definitely normal and even though it seems pretty hot, the maximum temperature for that should be around 95C and min would be around 40-50C. You should only be worried if you are at around 80C and not doing anything very graphics intensive.
Chosen Solution it does not power up when i switch it on. In other words nothing works .I charged the battery up still not working thomas fraser, The battery could be faulty or the battery connections may need cleaned. Clean the battery connections, I use a ink eraser on a pen and blow out debri with compressed air and install good batteries. Link below may be useful troubleshooting. Good luck.
