Chosen Solution I was cleaning the pads in order to solder the new LCD connector to the board but i overheated while cleaning with the iron and lifted them. So what would be the best approach to fix it? The missing pads 13 and 17 are connected to L2044 , L2042. I think i could do some bridging. You’ll need to run a thin jumper wire from the closest (or most direct) connection point to the hole where the pad was....
Chosen Solution I may have just done something very stupid and damaging, which I should have been more careful with and researched before doing. I bought this iPhone secondhand, and it came with this giant ugly Schosche magnet on the back for using the phone in the car. I finally decided to remove it today with some Goo Gone (it at least did a wonderful job of getting all the adhesive off and not damaging the backside)....
Chosen Solution So after a battery repair, I found that my iPhone 5S battery is crinkled. It was never bent and it was taken out by the adhesive strips. Is it still safe to use? Will it expand? The tape is there because the adhesive wrap around the bottom of the battery was coming loose. I only plan to use this as a test battery, and not as a replacement. Is this still safe to use for brief testing?...
Chosen Solution I’m looking to add a PCIe SSD to a Mac mini that shipped with only an HDD. It seems like it should be possible, since there’s a port on the logic board for it. Where do I find the cable to connect the SSD to the logic board? Is this even possible? The internet has been strangely silent on this topic. I haven’t been able to find anything definitive from either iFixit or OWC, which are usually all over upgrades like these....

Can this be repaired for a reasonable price? @bezigbart …screens are roughly two thirds of the price of a television. youre looking at a minimum of 300 plus to replace this. unless you can find an exact model cheap to extract this part, it is usually uneconomical to repair.

Is the lens unit extending do you hear odd sounds (other than normal)? The error implies the camera can’t get into the correct state to take a picture. I unplug all the cords and replug them back in and it turns on now but now it will not connect to my tv no matter which HDMI port I use. Chosen Solution I just got an iPad Air where I was told “It’s Just Fried”. It is possible that it was dropped but I was told that it randomly happened. After a few minutes of playing with it, I was able to get it into DFU mode. As it stands, there is no video whatsoever coming to the screen and the only way it interacts with iTunes is in DFU mode....
Chosen Solution I dropped my JBL pulse in the dog water bowl now speaker won’t turn off. Still lights up and will charge but won’t play. What do I do ??? @hattekm ,Kathy , Stop charging or powering up your device(remove battery) until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the speaker. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the speaker from the water damage as that could be your problem....
Chosen Solution I have a HP Spectre x360 - 13-4105dx. This is a convertible laptop. So when it is flipped into tablet mode, my assumption is that it disables the keyboard and touchpad. The keyboard and mouse was working before I did any work on the unit. This model had a cracked screen and so I replaced it with a new model. I disassembled the unit and removed the logic board from the case to get at the screen along with all the other components....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a couple ipod touch 6’s that were completely dead - showed no signs of life. If anything at all - one of them would show it’s charging when it is plugged in ( still does ). I replaced the battery with a brand new one ( i bought 10 since I had a few ipods ) and checked them all with a battery checker and voltage meter and all are good....
Chosen Solution will not haveing the grounding bracket installed prevent charging the phone? or any other issues?? basically what’s it important for. I just got one in that had that bracket missing. The phone would only boot half way thru with out it. It helps hold the connectors in tight. Once I replaced it the phone worked fine. Chosen Solution Where can i get a replacement screen for a Vizio d50u-d1 4K ultra ? Unlike phones, 3rd party replacements are not made for Vizio TVs. Also the model you listed is on Ebay for about $375 USD brand new for the whole TV, which likely is cheaper than finding a replacement screen. You’re best bet is to scavenge Ebay for a ‘broken TV for Parts/Repair’ or if you are luck a standalone screen....
Chosen Solution I have a 2011 Mac book pro. It is taking more than 1 hour to reach the login screen after I turn it on with appearance of silver screen for a long time.
