Chosen Solution I have iMac 15.1. I have 512GB SSD installed on SATA bus. No NVMExpress devices reported. I plan to get 2TB NVMe SSD from OWC and remove SSD. Is it possible to have only NVMe drive? The drive appearance in the OS: OK I see the confusion! The Apple SSD is a PCIe/AHCI drive not a PCIe/NVMe. Thats why it’s listed under the SATA section! Hopefully this helps explain things....
Chosen Solution My phone took a hard drop on it’s face. I have to get the screen fixed due to it’s cracks but only the top half of my screen is responding when i touch it. The bottom half is unresponsive when it is touched. Does this mean that my LCD screen is also broken. Yeah, but the whole assembly comes as one. There aren’t seperate prices. Chosen Solution I currently have the late 2011 Apple Thunderbolt Display 27 inch. The screen is black but is detected on my MacBook Pro. I took it to a Apple technicians and reviewed diagnostics. They told me that the lcd display is not good anymore. And it was gonna be around 800 dollars to replace it since it was Out of warranty. I read on ifixit that the Thunderbolt Display has the same display as the 2009 27” iMac....

All of the systems now use the T2 chip which uses raw flash chips vs a removable SSD. I ordered the battery that corresponds with this MacBook, (late 2013-mid 2014) I Just received the battery and it says on the battery “Compatible with model number: A1494”, no mention of my actual model number, is this battery replacement fine or do I need a new one? Chosen Solution I have a kenmore elite mixer, model 100.8900890a that does not turn on, just flashes a blue light. I opened up the top cover and dont see any obvious signs of damage. I took the switch out and sprayed some electric cleaner in it , when i plug the switch harness back into the main board, the mixer comes on but will not shut off unless i unplug the power....

If there is a text box active it’ll type 1’s non-stop, and if not it’ll start to mess with the ability to tap to click things using the track pad. After putting in a new logic board, it’s either very dim or it goes dim once the digitizer is lowered (I’m powering this on to make sure all systems are good before adhering the glass to the device). Sometimes, the LCD will be fine but once I lower the digitizer, it dims or turns off. When I could get the digiziter down w/o it doing that, then I couldn’t get slide the lock off....

I have a model A1347 from mid-2011 and wonder if I can purchase an M1 logic board and upgrade? Ideally, I’d like the 661-16785 w/ 8-core M1, 16GB and a 1TB drive with 1gb ethernet. Just don’t know if it is possible. Also don’t see the newly listed logic boards on the ifixit store yet....
Chosen Solution MacBook Pro A1502 I have this laptop in hand and it has a blown capacitor in the area between the processor and the SSD. There are many capacitors on this board that are the same size and the ones next to it have the markings of “68 C32” so I am guessing that this blown one has the same value to it. It looks like something to do with the voltage regulator of the processor....

If your up to it installing the Apple custom blade SSD is the best for performance over swapping out your current HD. Just keep in mind some of the 21.5" models don’t have the SSD hardware (2012 models) so make sure you have this model....

Chosen Solution How can I move a system hard disk, currently installed in a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, to a Lenovo ws530. The original Lenovo disk crashed and I wish to move the Dell-based disk because it has essentially the same data.
